5/28/11 - Influence

Message from Galations 1: 10-24
@ LCC was really good.
Have you ever thought about the way you influence others
As Christ followers we have a responsibility to influence others to Christ.
The way we act around non-believers
(especially the ones that know we "do the church thing")
can determine if they want what we have..
Have you ever thought of that?
Away from church we can't act like heathens and then angels on Sunday.
You can't drive around with a fish on your car and cut someone off & honk rudely.
HIS light shines in us so others can see HIM so that HE may be glorified.
How are you influencing others around you?

5/27/11 - 25 Years Old

I simply cannot believe my oldest turned 25 today!!
Happy 25th Birthday
 John Michael Eggers
The prettiest baby I've ever seen.

Full of personality - you can see it in his eyes!

Some days his hair still looks like this! :)

<><>
<><><><
He did this on his own at 4 years old.

For the longest time it was just the two of us...

He took to having a little brother very well!

At 13 my incredible young man walked me down the isle...
He was so happy for me...

Son, you were the first to touch my heart like I never thought someone could.
Having you, gave my life meaning, you became my purpose.
Thank you - you saved my life in ways you'll never understand until you become a parent.
(which can be MANY years from now by the way)
I love you, always.
Happy Birthday, mijo.

5/26/11 - Exercise

My new FAVORITE thing to do...
It's the MOST fun type of exercise I've ever done...

5/25/11 - Positive

3rd Quarter All Employee Meeting

Positive Sales Figures Announced

Summer Hours was the best announcement!!  :)

5/24/11 - Tornadoes

This has been a CRA- A-ZEE spring full of deadly tornadoes.  It hit Tuscaloosa, Alabama and wiped out entire neighborhoods, at last count it killed 340 people about 3 weeks ago.    Last week tornadoes ripped through Joplin, Missouri killing about 140 people and several still missing.  So, when David Finfrock said we were expecting "violent weather" early in the day - I listened.  A little after 8:00 PM the Tornado Sirens were going off.  My husband was outside watching the clouds and when his face went serious and he came running in - WE TOOK COVER!  He's from Kansas and has seen his share of tornadoes, so for him to come running in - I knew something must be coming.  I took my phone with me and people were posting all over facebook about seeing funnel clouds and possible tornadoes.  As soon as we took cover the hail hit us and hit us hard within minuets it was gone.  It sounded much worse than what this picture shows...maybe because it was mixed with high winds.
We had some slight hail damage.
We came out front to see it pass...
But then went back inside when we looked behind our house and heard sirens again...

SCARY STUFF!!

5/23/11 - Socks

I've heard of a bad hair day but this day was a BAD sock day!
It started because I couldn't find a pair of socks so I grabbed a pair of Josh's
He had a pair he said didn't fit him anymore so, I thought I could wear them.
Only later in the day did I realize he had stretched them out so much they would NOT stay on my ankle...

so this drove me nuts all day...
Yep, as soon as I got home I did some laundry... :(

5/22/11 - Pictures

Or lack of...Ok so maybe the not wanting your picture taken runs in the family and / or I'm getting more forgetful... But today, I had a great time with Mom and BOTH boys and FORGOT to capture it!  - UGH...

Josh, Mom and I went to church, then lunch later we met up with Michael and went to the movies... Fast Five...  Great. On. The. Edge. Of. Your. Seat. Great. Movie.  Maybe, not the best movie to take your boys to but we all enjoyed it... mostly we made the memory.  This is the 5th of the Fast and Furious series - we have seen the previous ones together - it only made sense to see this one.  I have to say it was probably THE BEST one of the series by far!!

and...

oh

yeah..

Denny made it back from Ashley's graduation....

I hate that I missed it...

I love these kids - hate that I don't get to see them often enough.  I can't believe how fast they have grown and how much they are changing.

Welcome Home babe!  I'm glad you are back - I missed you!

5/21/11 - Soccer Party

Maybe, it's because I know Josh doesn't like his picture taken, but I forget to capture moments while I'm out.  I had a absolutely wonderful time Saturday and forgot to take a picture!  Well, I also didn't take one because I wasn't sure Dawn would want me to...

My Saturday started with an early cup of coffee and some good God time reading Galatians, worked out and the met up with my very best friend - Dawn.  We met in Arlington for a massage, lunch and a bit of shopping.  After spending 4 months stuck at home after she broke her leg she was in need of a massage - walking on crutches must take its toll.  She belongs to Massage Envy and had built up some massages - I was happy to be a volunteer to help her use up one of her massages!  :-)  It was absolutely heavenly.  After the massage, our hair was a big mess - so, no picture.  Next outing - I'll remember!

After a great afternoon with Dawn - it was the end of the season soccer party!

Great bunch of boys!

5/20/11 - Yearbook

School is coming to an end - Josh's years at Harwood Jr. High is 5 days away from being a thing of the past.  He will finally get to stop saying "yes, I'm in high school but our 9th grade is at the Jr. High building."  I can't believe my baby will actually be in High School - building and all - the years are going like the speed of sound and before I know it he'll be graduating.  The older he gets - the more boring my photo blog gets... meaning for some odd reason he does NOT like me taking his picture.
so, here I sit - in the car - capturing the memories from a distance.
Yearbook signing party - Harwood - Freshman YR 2010 - 2011

With my man out of town - this is Josh - filling up for me.
Goofball.

5/19/11 - no sleep

Denny left yesterday for Kansas, when he is gone I can't sleep.  I don't know what it is about when he leaves - but - I - CAN - NOT - SLEEP.  So, to wake up to this was a realization of how much I'm thought of and loved...

It was an awesome reminder than I'm loved even when he's miles away.  I love you babe, thanks for thinking of me and setting the coffee to turn on automatically.

It was nice to have this because with very sleep, I was going to need the caffine to face my busy day ahead.  Work was crazy, then to Zumba class and then Josh's final soccer game, against their rivals - the Crush!!

Mom with her babies at soccer fields - oh wait - wrong mom, wrong babies.

This was THE BIG game - two ex-Bulls players left for this one and only other HUSA team - THE CRUSH.  It was THE most exciting game of the season for sure.  With several rain cancellations and a storm brewing it only added to the excitement of the game.  Bulls had it at the half 2-1, after half time the Crush tried to make a come back and tied it up.  The Bulls showed what they were made of and both teams were hungry for the win.  Everyone played fantastic but at the last 2 minutes the Crush won the game...
Next Season - we will be BESA Bulls - let's see if that changes things up a bit.

5/18/11 - 3 weeks old

Aren't they adorable!
The big guy is pretty cute too!

5/17/11 - Renee`

All things work out as they should...
my Tuesday's are usually booked
I save them specifically for my girls' bible study.
We are in between studies and decided
to take a break.
With a few students and a few teachers

Doesn't this picture say - BREAK - to you!
Well, it says peaceful to me...
First, Tuesday of break was spent in bliss
next door celebrating Renee's Birthday!
Happy Birthday Renee`

5/16/11 - Construction

5 Days a week I hit this red light, look out to my right and see...
today, I figure I might as well Photo document the progress.  However, I may not continue my photo journal blog that long - since this project is supposed to last 5 years!!

05/15/11 - Faith

While Denny worked I enjoyed some time with Janelle...

Enjoyable Sunday...

5/14/11 - Nicole's Celebration

Isn't she absolutely stunning?!? :)

The girls and I spent many months praying her thru her classes and He came thru for her.

Respiratory Therapist - Miss Nicole

Had I been smart - I would have gotten Janet's husband to take the picture with us all in it!

5/13/11 - Happy Anniversary!

11 years = Steel
I wonder why?
I guess if you can make it 11 years you are now solid in your marriage.

YUMMY!
God blessed me, He truly sent me a man better than I dreamed of or prayed about.
He may not be made of steel but he's my Superman!

5/12/11 - Results

Trust in Him and just say...
I'm in His hands no matter what the outcome of my tests results.
Labs were back from my first round of the 'every 6 months' scans.
Praises and thanks to HIM and many prayer warriors all is well!

Denny was already off today, I took a half day so we could just spend some time together before the appointment and have a nice lunch.  I don't know why but South Arlington seems like such a trip.  I mean really how often do you see this in your daily commute...
I had to let it get a good distance away before I could fit it in the picture!

5/11/11 - Good Day...

5/8/11 - Mother's Day

God blessed me with two amazing sons.  They are both extremely talented yet they are uniquely gifted.  It warms my heart to be called a mom, especially their mom.

My Mother's Day was filled with love by all my family.  Church, good food, movie and togetherness... what more can a mom ask for...

Oh and mom loved her photo album... :)

Thank you Lord, for the blessings I call 'my boys'!
